5 February - A Red-breasted Nuthatch along the ridge/fence
line that runs from the main facility towards Platt Pond. |

15 February - A Wild Turkey in the woods along the river,
between the Upper and the Lower Island View trails. |

19 February - A pair of Ringed Kingfishers along the Colorado River
(downstream from the Cypress Wetland) on a gloomy Saturday morning.
The two birds had been present for at least a week already. |

2 April - A Barred Owl in the fields off the far side of Pond 3. |

3 April - A singing male Prothonotary Warbler just down river from
the Cypress Wetlands. |

3 April. A silhouette of a Pileated Woodpecker that was
on top of the large Pecan tree along the River Trail, just past the
Platt Pond trail. |

26 April. A Glossy Ibis in a group with 23 White-faced
Ibis. |
