Participants on the 29 July 2005 World Birding Center pelagic trip out of South Padre Island were fortunate to get fantastic looks at this Audubon's Shearwater.   This individual was found resting on the water and allowed the boat to approach within a few feet of it, even raising its wings a few times showing off its mostly white underwings.
