Christmas Day 2004 was unusual along the upper Texas
coastline due to the freezing temperatures and several inches of
snow coating the ground. Also unusual were some lingering
birds, not usually found at this time of year. The first
two photos are of a juvenile Swainson's Hawk seen that along the
beach in Jefferson County that day; the bottom is of a male Prairie
Warbler that was apparently wintering at Sabine Woods for the second
consecutive winter. |
